It's that time again. Time to start the countdown for Matt & I's next vacation and this one's a biggie. In just 86 days we will be headed out on a 15 day adventure to Hawaii!
We're going to Hawaii!!!!
We will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary in Hawaii. We will be spending just over a week on Oahu and a week on Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America to see all the other islands of Hawaii.
The dates of this trip are May 3-18, 2013.
May 3-8 we will be staying at Disney's Aulani Resort.
May 8-11 we will be staying in a condo at Waikiki Beach.
May 11-18 we'll be in a balcony stateroom aboard the POA.
We will be renting a lot of cars and exploring the islands on our own. We will be doing a few snorkeling excursions as well. There's also going to be a visit to a luau & some surf lessons for MattyBoy. We'll be spending our anniversary relaxing at our resort & enjoying our first couple's massage. To say we are excited is an understatement.
This will be Matt's first trip to Hawaii. I have been back in 2008 and did a very similar itinerary with my parents. I am looking forward to the more go-at-your-own-pace style we are doing and I can't wait to stay at Aulani!! I still wrestle with the idea of just staying at Aulani the entire time, but I just love the Waikiki nightlife.
I have been in planning superdrive and really, I don't think there's much more I can plan. Who am I kidding? There's tons more I can research!
Like usual, I'll be posting here on my blog about once a week or so leading up to the trip and then once on our trip I'll be posting live as often as I can. Being on the east coast, I will have a lot of early morning hours to fill since the time change will be having me waking up super early each morning.
Well, that's it for this first post. Next post will be a run down of the things I've already planned & what still needs to be completed.
